Also I spotted via google maps a nice 10 mile B-road run from Greenock to my campsite that could be a nice we tarmac cycle for Saturday. I'll then shoot the three miles down to Largs for the short journey by train to Ardrossan to link up with you guys.

  better get your mountain goat gear ready

Thanks for the up Gazz.
Just looking through your rides I can believe the expence thing.
Experience talking?
Sure I'd love to make a localish outing, maybe gotta get just a bit fitter though.
48 years of neglect and abuse this end.

:D cool, and velo's nearly 70 so you wouldn't be the oldest by a long chalk 8)

Kaiser lives! Was starting to think he had been sucked back into the early 1970's episode of University Challenge from whense he came.

I like the new guy (Tnega), despite comments about taking up the rear (I fear more jokes about hunting and probing around Kai's Big Ring) he likes to stop for a fag- the mark of a real mountain biker!

Si

ps. BTW, I'm back on for Inners! Despite the lure of helicopter transfers, luxury hotels, a new Aston at my disposal, mountains of amazing food and fine Champers on tap with my chums at AMR Gulf Racing, I've decided that Silverstone is a boring windswept shithole of a place in which to watch a 5 hour motor race and I would rather have Iron Bru and Tunnocks with the Clan MacRetro.

Dr. S, your a very strange man and all the better for it, see you at inners.

Thanks for the heads up about the old largs road Kaiser, arial photos do not show contours but looks a good one, my campsite lies on it so I will at least have to deal with the largs end of it.

The ever so scruffy Hardrock is coming to Arran but as its a retro meet it has returned to its original flat barred, canti braked spec.

Welcome to the new guy, we hit the Pentlands whenever we get a consensus as to start time but likely to be no earlier than late morning. I can do anytime as I live at the foot of the hills. I'm not going on 70, I just feel and act like it. DaveDH likes a fag and an uphill walk with his biking as well so you'll not be left behind.

Weather forecast looks OK for Arran but you never can trust the met office.

Cheers Velo

Ooh another Fifer, and probably not some Clackmannanshire wannabee like myself. As has already been mentioned, fer Christsake stay away from the for sale section... and leave all the goodies for me, MUHAHAHAHA, etc

Velo, yes, you're still on for a lift back, no worries. Kick ye oot at Falkirk High after a hard days trundle? I don't think so, I shall make you stay all folded up in the MX-5 listening to my inane drivel for as long as possible. I may even put the iPod on shuffle and subject you to my terrible taste in music too (as bad as my taste in bikes I'm afraid).

So everyone's going rigid bar me? Me and my Judy's fart in your general direction

Welcome Dave  , hope to see you and the Raleigh at a meet, and as Gazz said watch out for the for sale section sucking you in, it can get addictive.

Speaking of which

Finally got the wheel rims from CRC for the Bomber so going to organise getting the wheels built during the week.

Mind and bring the Clcockwork frame and the LX cranks on Sunday Gazz and i have those silver bars if you still need them

ZigZag, your a star, does your hairdressers car play Bronski Beat, Frankie goes to Hollywood and other gayer classics

Only kidding but seriously i feel I should pay for some petrol, you really must enjoy driving

See youse lot the morra :D
