Enid - You bringing your Balance to the Raleigh rally? And how's the Dale, did you figure out what's broken? Talking of the Dale, I read the infamous thread. .

Yeah, the Balance is planned for the pentlands, the ride shouldnt need a full susser huh  and its deffo retro too!
To be honest i have'nt even looked at the 'Dale since i got it home, really need to give it the once over  Might not be anything wrong with the bike, could just be its the first time i have used my arms hard for years, they were all pumped up at the end of spooky and the other descents 8)
Looking forward to the Pentlands though 8)

Thanks for thinking of me ZigZag, but I will not chase that bike. No confirmation its a Cortina and no Emmelle that elderly is worth £80 even pristine

Anyway my car gets priority this month, I think simply changing the inline filter might sort it but I'm prepared, at least mentally, to remove the tank, clean it, put it back with new fuel level sender unit and fuel pipe if I have to. Reliant parts are cheap and plentiful if you know where to look.

Onwards and Upwards as they say......

Where's Kaiser?????????????????

I've not seen a post from him in at least 24hours or more, now thats almost unheard of

Better stop being cheeky looking for a favour kaiser  any chance you could lend me a file to sort out a steel steerer, I don't have one and trying to be a skinflint, could you also do me a favour and have a look out for a wee canti barrel thingie, jez is pretty sure he posted it with the forks but I cannot find it and I wondered if it may have escaped at yours? It is a wee bit of metal cylinder shaped that the brake cable ferrel fits into before slotting thru the canto hanger thang.

Cheers :D

If that doesn't work break a branch off a nearby tree and give it a damned good thrashing
