Whats all this about then?

I dont follow this thread that closely because work stopped me having any time to get out for a day, but since I quit my job and am now technically unemployed I'm at a loose end  (Mrs P permitting  )

enid theres also a wee calender on the first post, a few meets on the east coastish side of things

My gawd enid, you've decided not to work yourself to death and joins us old geezers on our bikes, Thats great :D

Big Ecks refering to a meet for riders of Raleigh steel tonnage since three of us have such things.

So Big Eck what about Saturday 15th August in the Pentlands somewhere, only Raleigh riders need attend although maybe other unsung brit makes such as Falcon/Townsend/Emmelle/Coventry Eagle/Hawk might be tolerated if only to make our Raleighs seem superior.

Cheers all,

Velo

I bet you'd still be better than me.
My Raleigh Alaska, I bought off Big Eck, has got to weigh close to 40lb, Raleigh believed in overbuilding out of steel.
If we get a Pentland meet sorted you'd be very welcome.

Cheers

Just picked up a rather lovely set of wheels, track hubs, ambrosia rims and brucey bonus white industries freewheel :D Rear needs a spoke replaced but thats it also has a fixed sprocket on the other side of the hub. Seller had a set of frogslegs too and got them too.Now I need to work out what to do with them. Will need to peruse the road forum for frame ideas but already have a wee idea.
