 I'll be about in the mornings, though now I rememeber theres a gala/concert type thing and my house is pedestrian locked. Would you maybe be up for summat else on the Monday? I had kinda mentioned to the wife about doing something......

what are you thinking? Local trails or further afield?

Klaus (must stop calling you Kaiser), could you find out who runs the long term carpark at Ardrossan Harbour and the charges. Web searches say that yes a secure carpark exists but no one seems prepared to say who the operator is and costs.

Train to Ardrossan is a pain, nothing gets there from Edinburgh before 1030 and so the plastic pig seems my only choice

Thanks

Stephen

Oh, also that DoobyDoo fellow who has appeared on the site is from Stevenston which is the neighboring town to yours i think ?

Ta muchly Klaus,

PM me your address and I'll start planning my route. Probably going to the BikeStation tomorrow so I'll look out for a 600 Ultegra mech, you never know

Anyone else after bits and bobs I might spot in the parts drawers ?

Could do with a 7spd cassette 28max? and still any 1" stems preferably 0deg and under 130mm.

The Manitou FS is parceled up and ready to go thismorning :(

But i've got a wad of dough burning a hole in my Paypal :D

May nip to Braehead later and have a look at the roadbikes :)

BTW would any of you'se trust Halfords to build wheels ?, got a price off them last night (when i was getting a box for the Manitou), £50 for the pair including spokes, does this seem ok ?, going to get a quote from the LBS but not sure if i'd trust them any more than Halfords

i wouldnt say its down to where the place is its whos doing it . whats stopping you doing it yourself . once you have the spoke length worked out lacing is easy and getting tension/true is just methodology .
