Depends..I've had a pair of Giro shoes break at the strap within months, I've had a couple of years out of others (Time, DHB, Pearl Izumi) but I've had most success with Shimano. But really depends on what you expose them too, mud and wet will kill most shoes in jig time IME. I'll pretty much pick a Shimano shoe now if it fits and does what I'm after.
