Yeah it must be a typo, checked a different site and it was nearer 500g but anyhoo pretty smart stuff if your into tubular tyres.

borrowed a light and actually made it out for some road miles last night, now to try and make a habit of it!

Discovered via another thread that you can upgrade your old bulb lights to LED as retrofit LED bulbs with all the needed circuitry incorporated now exist.

the old cateye is pretty much dead, the battery being the issue

thought about replacing, but cost seemed to be prohibitive

Marionville Models in Edinburgh could make you up a ni-cad pack in the formation needed to fit the container - no harm asking for a price. You could probably do it yourself too - it is just soldering and heat shrink.
