There is a road under the A9 just north from the visitor centre, might be a possibility do the route anticlockwise and the downhill would be immense.
These are measuring at the 10 mile mark but I reckon it will be further due to inaccuracies, a call into escape route might clarify things, as will looking at the hill when we get there.
Jamie/Mr P if you are coming from the north could you glance up at the pass to see what it is like.
Killie pass anticlockwise (up thought pitlochry and past golfcourse) not sure about the link along the side of the A9 though.
