You can always cheat and do what i Did Wu and get an 6600 Ultegra SL - near same finish as M960 XTR

yes, think that is the answer. Actually it's for an ultegra sl set up anyway was looking at m960 because as you say, it's the same finish.

was/ is there a lomg or mid cage sl r mech then? (off to have a look now i think)
