Great little kit, I've only had the need to use it once..

Comes complete with inserts / drill / thread tap / insert tool / punch in a well made box.

does only M8 ? can it be used on a rear mech hanger?

Only for M8 threads mate.. I used it on a pivot of a full sus frame I used to have.

If rear mech hangers are M8 (not sure what they are off the top of my head) then yeah, it will be just the job!
