Lugs, lugs, lugs!

In this current trend for lugless lightweight builds (kinda boring IMO), I thought I'd start a thread to list and detail all the fancy lug sets out there, which were used in part for marketing and publicity as much as aesthetics (think early Carlton, Claude Butler).

To kick it all off, a lovely set of Nervex professional:

Some lugs were made for ornate, some just look plain business - lugs & crowns w/ long points.

Les Rigden of Brighton, was lucky enough to meet him before he rolled off to the big big frame builders in the sky. Really lovely bloke but the wait times on his builds and restorations were legendary - quoted my mate 2 years to build a frame and expensive...!
A 753 accredited builder, his work was faultless, especially good at refinishing frames to a very high standard.

I had a fillet brazed Hurlow it was gorgeous.
Hurlow cut lugs for Condor and Mal Rees amongst others as well as his own. One of my favourite builders.
