The ‘pattern’ goes all the way round the tube: 3d pendulum? …. Zero g? Yoga dribble? Maybe you paint the tubes then braze the frame?

No canvas planned, although drainpipes or guttering play a more important role in my paint jobs than you might expect!... I want try and recreate the blue widow style paint job... no particular reason, just could be fun..

Montana Gold makes a "marble effect" in a couple of colors. Near as I can tell it comes out like silly string.
