Lug lining paint

What is the best TYPE of paint to use for lug lining?

I was trying to buy sign writers one shot enamel lettering paint but uk companies seem reluctant to send paint by air, some kind of uk postal restriction elfin safety the plane will explode we are all doooomed scenario

Anyone tried/recomend any old metalpaint/humbrol/Hammerite/tippex

I use Humbrol although some colours can be a little thin. If they are to thin, I leave the lid off for a couple of hours and give it a stir every now and then, its enough to thicken it slightly. Signwriters paint is good but you have to buy it by the litre which would last a lifetime!!
