Yeah, I'm quite proud of myself for not buying it "just in case I'll need it".

This is a very fair price considering it's condition too. Anything with cantilever brakes and 700c wheels advertised earlier in the year would have sold instantly when people start planning for a summer tour and have some time in front of them to build it. No body sells these types of bikes in autumn because they get mudguards added and are far too useful over winter.

Mickey I'm starting to think you've got the monkey curse, you could be giving this away and there'd be no takers. You could even offer to drive it into their shed, build it up to their specs and leave 100 quid just for them to take it off your hands and they'd be skeptical
