Lost the plot - bought a Raleigh 20

Went a bit mad and bought a ratted out Raleigh Twenty as a project.

Looking for 451 alloy rims.
A 31.8mm silver seat clamp
Flat (or low rise bars) chrome/ silver bars small dia.
Alloy quill type pedals, silver or black and silver
A 28.6mm newer micro adjust style chrome/ silver seatpost.
Silver headset spacers 5mm, 2mm
Charge spoon saddle.

Any 451 tyres or any other Raleigh 20 bits (bike’s) for when I c£ck it up!
Based near Warrington.

The top tube mod. is well worth doing if you(or someone you know )is handy with a brazing torch..

I used Sun CR18s on mine - SJS sells them in a choice of drillings. There's not much choice in tyres though.

I have a certain nostalgia for them as one was my first bike and yes, it was taken off road too. But no, I wouldn't be looking to buy one.

Fantastic choice, I had one as a kid and bought a nostalgia special last year, I managed to get a drum braked Sigma in tatty condition for a good price and went through it putting it on a diet of aluminium parts and shed 3kg from it. I have fitted Schwalbe Big Apple tyres which are comfortable on the rough and it is now a pretty handy bike.
