Re: Re:

What are the blue sections all about?

The blue bits are where we ride/walk/swim through river sections. Good for cleaning the bikes. Crawl stroke works best, especially as a soloist ;)

You'll need to packsome bungees too, in case the bike goes downstream. It has quite a current!

Less that two weeks to go now, and I'm absolutely bricking it, to coin a phrase!

Plenty of paracetamol, ibuprofen and Voltarol gel will be top of my shopping list this week. And electrolyte drink!

Not seen what the course looks like this year so assuming its going to be the same as last year

I'll bung Andy a PM to see what he thinks as to where we and the wider RB community camp, (there is life outside this thread) :D

I'm guessing John, DryStonePaul and Andy have this covered or a good idea of what's happening.
Nice one Spud :)

What are the blue sections all about?

And are you submitting an entry for us to get on the 'Teams on Screen'? :p

Not quite sure what the blue sections are, The Kenda Coffin in White is the steepest down hill (very short)
whilst the bit along the lake has a decent and ascent but shown is a single colour.. so I don't know

M= Marshall and usually in an area where the tracks come close to each other
the "Eye logo" is where the Photographers have a spot although they aren't there for 24hrs

perhaps someone else will enlighten us both....

Never thought about it, If you've an idea for a image go for it and put it forward to them.
team pic from last year won't work since we've a few new faces ...I guess were now "New Old Stock"

go for it if you fancy it...

Heres one for Team Mike Muz (if only the seatpost was as long as a scaffold tube)

Re:

As a result, it would be best to take a bike with absolutely no steel parts, or it will be toast after approximately 3/4 lap.

Owing to wateriness!

The bottom bracket, if a sealed item, will last 1/2 a lap. The older cup and cone type will go rusty overnight owing to the dewey grass! It won't even make it to the the zipwire at 3.5 miles into the lap

Not my bike Nick,

my chainsets are on the E.U. specific right hand side of the bike ;)

Regarding images, it'd have to be a group pic on the Friday or something generic if Friday submissions are too late.
Only the team leader can make a submission. You'll need the booking reference/entry number etc.
Something worth exploring I think :)

Re:

I am getting a little worried now :(

Not because of the course, I know I will be pathetic and slow :D

I am worried about being in the same camp-site as some of you who are clearly bonkers :D
