looking for information on schwinn pdg 90...

Thing

Retro Newbie
Hi!

found and bought an basically flawless schwinn pdg -90 with full campa groupset with a plan to transfer the campa parts to my klein attitude dolomite project, but naturally would have to do some mods on for example front derailleur to get it to fit... and started looking into this particular schwinn a bit... the strange thing on it is that it has a "schwinn" text where it should normally say "paramount" AND the campa groupset doesnt seem to be on any original paramount setups -and I was told this is as it was bought (it has been ridden about 100km since it has been bought originally and after that stored in a dry basement...) SO im getting a bit hesitant on taking the campa parts off it if I have something very special on my hands here so if anyone has ANY info on this matter it would be greatly appreciated, i even contacted schwinn, but they could not find any info on it...

some details:

- it has "schwinn team issue" text on rear fork
- tange prestige tubing
- frame no: 1B00975

aand image below...

cheers!

Tuomo

Schwinn was all over the map in the early 90s........then they imploded. They did versions of the same bikes badged for both. All the OS PDG frames were made by Panasonic in Japan.
