Retro Newbie
Hi all, I'm looking for info on a deceased family members bike. He was a very keen amatuer competitor back in the day but the bike in question had very little use as I believe he bought it just before he had a major accident that left him unable to ride again. The bike is yellow and fluorescent pink and marked as Campione, on the handlebars there's a sticker saying Made in Italy BR. N. 22201 B/75. It has Shimano 600 gears and a suntour superbe derailler. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Phil

Here’s an example of another Campione:

https://www.classicsteelbikes.com/product/cycle-campione-size-59ct/

According to this they were made by the Flandria factory in Belgium. Yours is set up as a time trial bike, and from the paint job I would guess it’s from the late 80s or early 90s, but with some older parts used, like the rear derailleur (which is not unusual, presumably he’d set it up himself as he wanted it, rather than buying it as a fully built bike).

The Made in Italy sticker just refers to the bar tape, by the way, nothing to do with the bike itself.

It looks like a good quality frameset, anyway.
