Re:

I've been thinking of selling my 2011 Spooky Supertouch frame - not retro but certainly a classic. The tt is 53.5cm which I find a little too long but may not be quite big enough for you - not sure. My summer road bike is 54cm but somehow this seems to come up bigger, perhaps because it's quite tall. Anyway, perhaps one for consideration. It's very light and fast. I'm after £300 for the frame, £100 for the EC90x carbon fork and £45 for the Chris King headset or £425 for the lot.

The frame is in very good condition - the only blemish is some heelrub to the anodising on the nds chainstay.

PS took the Lee Cooper out today. Love it.

Re:

And to you too Malc.
I was looking at that but I really need something a bit smaller I'm afraid. I like my cross bikes nice and compact. It's the only reason I'm tempted to sell the spooky - it's just a bit big for my tastes.

Re:

Morning Rich
Would rather complete bike to be honest
I think this is a lovely bike but not sure with the size
Also a bit too much to spend on and justify a cross bike
The price you quoted is for Frameset only?

Re:

No problem Malc. Yes, the price is just for the frame, fork and headset. These frames are pricy new and fairly hard to get hold of. In fact, i think you've just made my mind up for me - I'm going to hold onto it.

Have a look on E-bay and elsewhere for an old aluminium Alan. They were the bike to have in Cyclo- cross in the late 70s early 80s. Look for the cantilever bosses to make sure you do not get one of their road bikes.
Quite light and a delight to ride. Check the frame thoroughly for cracks etc before purchase. 25mm seat post required.

What's the budget please? Just I have a really tidy original Kona Jake in small size, that dominated the cross scene, for years, but it has all top end parts on it, Avid Ultimate Canti's, Kona CX full Carbon fork, Easton EA 90 Carbon Post, Fabric saddle, Ultegra rear mech, Cinelli Dinamo bars, carbon one stem, Sram Force carbon chainset and Hope Ceramic BB, New Rocket Ron tyres, Deore Hubs on Sun Rhino rims.
