Lock on grips and carbon fibre bars..

Is it a bad combination, will the locks bite into the carbon bars? I have some lovely Easton Monkey bars I have had for 15+ years that are unmarked, it would be a shame to mark them now. Should I just go for slip on grips as I dont do any extreme riding?

I have Easton CNT/Lock ons on my most used bike for 3 or 4 years and they haven't left a mark.

I wouldnt worry,Ive been using Raceface and Lizard Skin lock ons with carbon for years without issue.
