It's a very early one. Mine from '92 has serial 6848, so definitely before 1992.

In this topic a few early ones are identified:
#3924 is from 1991
#5824 is from 1992

I have a Litespeed mountain frame, serial number 2820

From the Litespeed Warranty Dept. they were able to tell me:
" The frame associated with that serial number was a 16" custom frame that came out of production on 6/13/1990. I can't tell you much more than that, but it was one of our early frames."

Would be interesting to see a photo of the 2409 dropout and frame.

I've been researching the decals for early Litespeed and there seems to be 3 versions of decals. the "triangle" ones seen here, an early version of "Titanium by Litespeed" I believe used on custom orders in 1990 and the 1991 version of "Titanium by Litespeed."

I'd be very interested to see some confirmed pre 2800 serial number Litespeed mountain frames.

I'd love to know the serial number of the frame in the MBA article. I'm starting to think it may be the only frame from late 1989.
The frame in the MBA article I don't believe has the two holes in the dropouts. If you look at the 1990 Litespeed catalog the mountain bike does not have the two holes in the dropouts. These have to be some of the first production frames.
