My new project is building my own 29'er frame. I am planning a fully rigid single speed. It should be interesting.

Hope you stick around and update us on it - there are a few folks on here with 'home made' (that sounds unfairly twee!) frames and I'm sure I'm not alone in finding them fascinating!

I guess a thread in Readers' Bikes post-98 would be appropriate...

I am enjoying the website so I will stick around. Building my own frames is very appealing and I just bought a oxy-acetylene kit to get started. I hope to learn that process and then learn TIG welding to do Ti frames..

I'll post pix of my frame when it's done. I have a lot of practice welding to do first though.
