I bought a nice scruffy, and therefore cheap, right hand Deore thumbie from Dave.
The top cap was knackered as expected so I finally got to use the minty fresh spare top cap that I've had waiting since 1995 for this very day.
The left hand thumbie was finally paired up with a nice refurbished right hand one, the balance of the universe was restored... etc.
Certainly worth the wait.
