Lewis Hamilton..what a bellend

He's clearly not playing the race card, he's using it as a joke to refer to his feeling that he is being picked on by the stewards, and thus coming across as a bit whiny.
His mention of his qualifying troubles is a bit foolish though, as he plainly cut the corner and got what he deserved.

I did like his pitstop though, when he banged in unannounced. It would have been funnier if only one mechanic sauntered out holding a sausage roll and said "What....?"

This is certainly not a case of playing the race card.

"Maybe it is because I'm black. That's what Ali G says, I don't know."

Said in jest, quite clearly.

Why on earth should a young man who has gone through life encountering prejudice based on his appearance not make a joke about it?

Why the hell should he give a proverbial about being politically correct?

Why is it 'funny' when Sacha Baron Cohen says it?

Ba's.

Spoken with humour for sure but not even remotely appropriate (imo)..

Maybe not, but I am delighted he shelved being professional and just let it out. We need to remember he is a really young guy.

im a huge motorsport fan and i have watched lewis whenever i could at silverstone over the last decade.......his ability is the best ive ever watched from trackside, his gp2 race at the 2007 british gp and his win in the wet there in 2009 were the most memorable.....he is an ambassador to the sport for my children to look up to in my opinion.......the comments were i believe made in jest but to play the race card is unnacceptable and will lose him support i feel......i bet his dad put his hands over his face when he heard them and whispered a quiet 'oh no!'.....

He's running out of people to blame. He'll be openly chastising his engineers by Valencia. You heard it here first.

Bell end indeed.

I don't think he was using the race card either, it seemed more venting his frustration about being picked on, for some reason... I understand his frustration, except that he doesn't seem to get that, Lewis, you're the one running into people mate.
I remember when he first turned up, he was great... for half the season, then he turned into a smug twat... taken him a few seasons to chill out a bit, but he seems to have gotten some of that back this season. And the race on Sunday, well OK you're having a bad race, sure throw it up the inside to see if you can make it stick, but don't throw it up well past the point of no return and then cry when you t-bone the other guy because he didn't just drive off the track to get out of you're way.
