Let's see some Dekerfs..

NeilM had it, he bought it from Passiflora I believe, whom had bought it from me and I bought it from somebody else here ;)

I love his work and met him at NAHBS. Kind of standoffish but I would be too if I was stuck being swarmed by thousands of geeks. Somewhat like perhaps what a normal person would feel like going to comic-con. mwah ha haaa.

Anyway, is there a modern dekerf thread? I'll like to see some pictures and can't find one here?

Perhaps one would do well to not forget, that being a modern day custom frame-builder is much a thankless thing, for most production is nowadays done en-masse overseas (at a fraction of the cost) so the position is a difficult one at that (scratching out a good living can't be easy); and the very job itself, locked up in solitude in a lonely shop for hours and hours each day, with nothing but your machines to keep you company (what - y'all think custom frame-builders have dozens of employees and bikini-clad Budweiser beer girls serving their needs while they work).

For sure, they can be 'stand-off-ish' at times.

Not my bike, but I was on a ride with the guy who owns it. Rarely seen so I thought I might share:

Quite a bit different than my old 4-bar.

Interesting frame. Though, I might have thought the brand would have been 'DeFerk' with model name 'Wot' for this one. Can I get a 'Wot DeFerk'? ;-)

All in jest! Truly stunning bikes.

Re:

Yes. It almost went to the crusher for $0.03/lb. I was lucky to have a bank machine across the street and rescue it.

Did you get it for three cents a pound, then?

And ... the rear susp. bike pictured above ... with that design, wouldn't the chain-line length be significantly altered upon deeper compression positions, making for slackness in the chain at unwanted times?
