Re: Little Update
I still don't fully know what I will do with the bike but I figure regardless it needs to be cleaned! I forgot how utterly physical and exhausting dismantling a bike can be...
I discovered the paint was not in as great shape as I thought and while I have always been against it I now feel like maybe I should repaint it? There is some normal surface rust spots but what worries me are all these little lines like spiderwebs sticking up here and there, seems like rust beginning to creep up the paint? Its hard to see in the picture but there spots like this here and there..
Another thing is that it is quite dented under the top-tube, it really doesn't seem structural but.. dents... If I were to repaint I could have a go with trying to get the dents out which strips the paint, which I wouldn't want to do if were not to repaint.
Seems to have a Shimano dropout, not sure if that helps date the bike?
Always cool with old bike shop stuff, seems like Helen's Cycles in Santa Monica but it had to be peeled off...
You are a dirty bike
Taking things apart...
And cleaning all that stuff...
Let me know if you have any ideas about the rust/ paint/ dent stuff or any other stuff to help get my creative juices flowing! Also, still looking for a triple butted logic fork so hit me up if you know how I could procure one!
