Les Ephgrave c1952 20.5" frame bike for sale

I have a Les Ephgrave that I'll be listing on eBay tomorrow at 8pm auction starting at £20. The frame has been stripped and powder coated, so no original decals remain. The headpost looks original with beautiful lugs. Many other components were removed by the previous owner, so the majority have been replaced by a mix of new/retro. The underlying frame is in good condition, albeit the powder coating is a few years old now and quite chipped

Hi, quite a few makers made there own stems at one point, Hobbs, and Morris definitely did and I think Ephgrave did, it does look like it was made in 'shop'. Thanks Terry
 
When I've taken the stem out, I couldn't see any markings on it. It came on the bike, which I think was owned since new, but the owner died, so no way of finding out whether he replaced it.

Actually, looking at that pic, you can see the lug design pretty much matches the frame. I never noticed that before
