Retro Newbie
Lemond GLX frame (ST 21.5" c-t) with 21.5" TT c-c. Complete Sachs New Success 2 x 8 speed grouppo (brifters, brakes, derailleurs, chain set, hubs) in excellent working order. FIR rims. Bike is completely original bar the stem, which is a Zenith Cinelli knockoff, and its recently been re-cabled and has new bar tape and chain.

Frame looks very like its built by Billato though its missing tell-tale inscriptions on the brake bridge. Pre-Trek though, as its nothing like an early Zurich I once had. Fillet-brazed and lugged. Small chips and scratches on paint, but the state of the bike is almost time-capsule like and I think repainting would de-value it.

Have seen the grouppo alone sell for up to £250 on retrobike, so asking £250 or nearest offer for the complete bike. I am located in Bedfordshire, LU7 postcode. Collection preferred but I am flexible.

Hi all. A few are interested in the frame. Last call for the complete bike before I split.

be a shame to split it , shame i cant find the extra dosh

Re:

Oh right. 5'-8" with a 29"-30" trouser inseam. Seat tube is perfect for me, but top tube is a bit short (funny torso-to-leg length ratio) but to be honest, I prefer a more touring-oriented position nowadays (bars level with saddle).

Re:

So there wasn't a whole lot of interest in the Lemond complete, so I have agreed a sale for the Sachs components to a retrobike member, and the frame and fork will be available bare.

Cheers,
John
