Left Rear Cone (CN-R080?) Shimano Deore LX FH-M560 rear hub

Hi Folks,

I need a left rear cone for my 1993 vintage Shimano Deore LX FH-M560 rear hub.

I think the CN-R080 is the model I need.

The diameter is more than 15mm but less than 17mm and could be less than 16mm.

The length is 15mm or maybe 15.1mm.

It is very similar in design to the CN-R002.

I have already tried a CN-R002 cone and it does not match.

A picture will be useful to further explain the differences.

At the following page you can see an image of the hub previously mentioned.

Regarding the old cone (CN-R080?), besides the diameter, of the outside of the bearing race, being less than 16.9mm, the diameter of the section of the cone, immediately inside of the outermost section where you place a cone wrench, is greater than that of the CN-R002.

The diameter, below the bearing race, is < 11mm (maybe 10.5mm).

The diameter, of the groove below the bearing race, is 7.5mm.

The diameter, below the groove, is 10.5mm.

The diameter, of the outermost section before the flats for a cone spanner, is 11.5mm.

My cone does not slip through the Silver Dust Cap you can see in the image on the Ebay page but the CN-R002 goes straight through.

Does anyone have one lying around that they would like a couple of bucks for?

Thanks, MTB.

I can send a load of cones for postage costs if that helps?

As you can see from the attached photos, the bearing race is damaged.

I will need to go to a shop that I know has a vernier caliper to get more accurate measurements than what I have already posted.

Re:

FH-M560 cones, Shimano Part Numbers:

Drive side: Y31B05000
Non-drive: Y32K98020

The left one you said I assume is non-drive side is shared with following hubs, FC-MC30 (well some variants at least), FH-C040 (some variants) so isn't very common. You can buy a whole axle assembly here: https://www.loosescrews.com/product/deo ... 0x1x141mm/ but it looks like the one on the left that thegrandfromage has is the correct one!

How does that left one shape up to the measurements I posted?

Thanks, MTB.
