Can someone post where the cafe is, I dont recall ever being in Womersley. Does a 2000 Pinarello count as retro? Not managed to get an older bike ready

Through Womersley from the Pontefract direction, left at the mini roundabout, over the level crossing and keep going for about a mile or so and it's alongside the road on the right in a group of 'farm' buildings.

No probs Chris, will try and fix a date you can make soon, 2000 Pinnerello will be nice to see there, I was hoping to ride out on a 1983 Raleigh Record Ace but just broken a spoke on the drive side of the rear wheel, so its probably either my 87 Dawes Super Galaxy or recently built Olmo Giro, definately more retro than classic though

a couple of pics were taken, however not by myself, but hopefully we will get to see them on line, Womersley was a good central location and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride up there, from Doncaster, Pontefract and Leeds, we are hoping to meet frequently, although work, family and other cycling commitments will often get in the way, therefore I would guess next time in september, looking at suggestions for location, but Too Hoots Garden Centre at Snaith is a strong contender, although it remains open to suggestions, we want to keep it open to as many riders as possible so strong consideration is given to keeping it within the abilitiy of people to make it

Snaith would make a nice long day for me, at least 80 miles - gulp. Still I need to start getting the miles in over the winter and I could meet up with Old Ned on the way. I'll try to make the next one if it's in September.

Mark.

You could always come to mine in the car and ride from here. Two Hoots, depending on the route, is around 60 miles round trip. It's actually nearer to Carlton than Snaith. However, September is a busy month for me (which also includes the RB Peaks ride) so careful date planning may be required.

Good to meet everyone (all 3 of you!) yesterday. Weather was good, company was good, bike was good - and I got back in time to watch the TdF hitting the Champs Elysee. A grand day out!

Sorry eveyone, I can't make it with being back in Stoke, I hope you have a great ride and I hope it's the start of something so I can be at the next one.

Typical i go out of the country and it happens, c'est la vie.

I wouldn't have been in shape to keep up anyway...you'd have lost me at the first pub.
