Has anybody got a highly recommended cafe? The Delves in Thorne is very near me, reasonable prices and plenty of car parking, very popular with cyclists too, the cafe by the lake in the centre of Askern maybe easier for many as fairly central for west and south yorkshire based riders, a saturday afternoon maybe ideal as I assume many have club runs on sundays?

I know Doncaster CTC are riding to Two Hoots on 21st August, but I have a trip to London planned that weekend, but must be ok with cyclists there, I havent been but if we can get a few people here to commit we can set a date for meeting and riding 
I am ok for riding in Leeds direction, I am near Thorne so a fair ride, I think Old Ned is fairly central and a very active member of the forum so his ideas will be very helpful

Here is an idea, and may help resolve the problem of being spread out in order to get a good turn out, the Leeds - York ride looks good, except Doncaster to York via Leeds is a very long ride, if we set a destination and ETA in York, we can organise several start points eg Leeds, Askern, Hull etc, Askern could be a good traffic free option too, following the National Cycle Network
Garuf, I have just been looking at Old Neds suggestions, The Farm Shop Cafe, Womersley is between A1 and A19, just south of the M62, appears a good central location and hopefully not too far for you, therefore I am going to make this our first attempt at a Retrobike group meeting, I will make it a central meeting place, so you Leeds members can maybe organise meeting on the way over.
No set agenda, we can have a short ride out, talk old bikes, and appreciate each others bikes and discuss future meetings, therefore propose the following:
Saturday 16th July 1300hrs-1400hrs Meet: Farm Shop Cafe, Nr Womersley
for chat, tea and cake
1400hrs-1500hrs short ride out or more chat, tea and cake
1500hrs head home, but maybe a bit more chat, tea and cake in preparation
