When I eventually get around to posting up my modern bike (kona 2+2) ill show some pics of my b17. Like the one on the previous page I've chopped and tied it it lose some weight and gain some thigh space.

I only rode it for the first time on that joke yesterday but sweet Jesus it was a much nicer feel than the standard plastic 'race' mollox that was on there.

As for the weight, I'll worry about that when I've lost my belly

I'd love to meet the person who could test ride two bikes over 20 miles and be able to say which was 250g lighter!

'Ladies-specific' modern saddles are usually 150mm wide; used them myself in the not too distant past

Indeed, but there is something a little perverse about sticking a 600g saddle on a 1,300g frame.

I have brooks swifts on 2 of my bikes, one is broken in and it is uber comfy, still breaking in the other- will never get another saddle, I'm a total convert.
