I've managed to get the object of my adolescent desires for very little money and I'm in the process of restoring it.
The frame and components are in surprisingly good nick with viritually everything original: frame, fork, headset, brakes, levers, thumbies, both front and rear mech, seatpost, handle bar, stem and dog collar.
The frame needs a touch up and new decals and I'm stripping it down to the frame and rebuilding, including getting rid of the hollowtech chainset fitted by its previous owner.
So opinions/questions please.....
Does anyone know where I can pick up a full set of decals?
Would you replace the Exage groupset with something more modern (I will be keeping the thumbies)?
Has anyone touched up this bike, and any recommendations for paint to do so?
