late 70s early 1980s mercian campionissimo ?

Has Anyone has a picture of how the frame numbering appears on the BB of this model (or close vintage ).

Sam,

I hope the pic below may be of some use. As you can see the number is stamped on the bottom of the BB Shell on the drive side. I could not see any builder's stamps, but as you can see my BB Shell has a fair bit of surface corrosion so they could be there somewhere.

Thanks Steve , looks like it is not a mercian sadly which is a bit of a surprise as everything on the frame looks like the campionissimo spec .
here is my BB and steerer tube ,rather smaller numbers but does have the separate no "8" which i thought was the frame builder. Ill sort the pics for a frame ID help request

pics attached below . problem is Mercian say the 8880 number is not recognised as one of theirs, so the mystery. Any info appreciated. I see there is a Mercian on ebay at present with the same size BB numbering and placement as mine.

Yep, sure looks like a Mercian. Haden lugs that look like Crespera, plus all the braze one in the right place. Have you had a look at the website for earlier mercians that the numbers have been lost from?
