Not the OP but I did take some pictures of the Koski branded fork I just got (left) to compare to a later ATB branded fork with safety dropouts (right) that was on eBay:

I was under the impression they were pretty much all built in Japan by Tange. Are there any that don't have Made In Japan stamped on the steerer tube? The only one that comes to mind that might be US built is the straight blade version that Ibis had with ATB on the dropouts but it's been too many years for me to remember.
