Dirt Disciple
This is my kona cindercone and im after some retro looking tyres as they are odd and the front being the original is pretty rough on the sidewalls, ive been thinking of some amberwalls but wasnt sure if they would look any good, could some talented individual photoshop some on this picture so i know which way to go,
cheers.

I would stay with the black sidewalls.

I just picked up a red 1992 Cinder Cone on Friday(my size!) with original Shimano LX parts. I finally have a complete and rideable vintage KONA from the early suspension/cantilever brakes era. I had an Explosif in 1993, but that died a sad death some years later.

I am curious if anyone has had issues with adding suspension to a 1992 Kona. They are not specifically suspension corrected. The 1992 Explosif(same geometry) was offered with a Z link fork option, but it had only 1.25" travel. I am wondering if a 2" travel Marzocchi will really throw the handling off.

Any input would be appreciated.

I will post pictures later.

Rough and ready but here's a bit of a Photoshop job.
I was tempted to adjust your saddle angle and lower your stem.

I'd stick with blackwalls on a 92 Kona though.

Here, how did you prop it up to take the pic ? On seeing the second 'shopped pic I wondered if it had been 'shopped out then noticed the prop can't be seen on your pic.

As one thing that always humours me when people show off their lovingly restored bikes, is the manky old stick they have used to prop it up with.

Have some thought people's make your prop stick worthy of your display !
