Kona The King 2007 19" Scandium Framed FS XC

j0hn

Retro Newbie
New here but just trying to pass on a couple of bikes I no longer use :?

19" Scandium framed XC full susser:
Bought it about 4 years ago with the intention of getting out on it regularly - that never happened and it's been sat in my dining room since then, apart from the odd ride out round the local park.

Mavic Crossride rims and hubs.
Raceface Evolve crankset, rings and BB.
Fox F100RL.
Fox RP23 rear shock.
Shimano XT brakes.
On-One Inbred seat.
Dialled Bikes Pablo Esco Bars.
Raceface Evolve XC stem.
Raceface Evolve XC seat post.
FSA Orbit headset.
XT front mech.
XT rear mech.
XT shifters.
Kona lock-on-grips.
Panaracer Cinder 2.25 tyres which are nearly new.

I realise it's not quite as old as some of the bikes on here. But it was a professional spec full suss xc bike in its day. I last used it about 3 years ago and it's been sat in my dining room since, so I thought I'd see if there was any interest on here.
It's in great condition - only used a couple of times since I got it. There is a slight mark on the toptube, but nothing serious or structural. It is liberally covered in heli tape too.

£400 ono

Based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Kona spiel:
The King is our top of the line dual suspension MTB specifically designed for (by) the Kona / Les Gets Factory Team. Featuring a lightweight all Scandium tubeset with our proven 4-Bar rear suspension, the Kona King is a serious race bike for the Power Goo crowd.

Thanks for looking.

Re:

Just to catch up on this and the Kula. I've had a few offers which are under what I'm willing to accept, particularly when I'd have to package them up and arrange and pay for a courier.

Currently on my way to Papua New Guinea with work for a few weeks on a trip that came up earlier than expected. Obviously I won't be able to arrange viewings/collecting/delivery until I return after the 26th.

Cheers,

John
