Kona Score Titanium frame

I find it interesting that the contrast between carbon fibre and ti is that almost all carbon fibre frames are made in China, because that's the only place that it's economic to invest in the sophisticated manufacturing facilities required, whereas the ti market is split between Chinese-made frames which for some reason are considered inferior and US-made which are very expensive. So as they're either not good enough or too expensive, it's hardly surprising they're not very popular.

I don't think titanium is an out-moded material though. There's apparently 145,000kg of titanium in an Airbus 380, so enough for around 100,000 bike frames in one aircraft!

Not wishing to influence this for sale, but the Score is a pretty good compromise - made out of Sandvic tubes to very high standards by TiSports (owned by Sandvic) of Kennewick, Washington State. What do you want?

It's an excellent bike. Whereas clearly not an XC race bike, it hendles technical trails impecibally, climbs well, descends well and handles sngle track well. I even brought mine to the Shore last summer and it was a very comfortable ride despite not having 8" of rear travel.

USA ti is more popular for sure, bu Litespeeds are very well made bikes and I don't think they're inferior at all, even though I don't ride them personally.
