I don't disagree with most of what each person is saying and buying a bike for one or two parts and selling the rest is what you sometime have to do.

Something that put me of a certain user were a couple of threads about 2 years ago where he purchased bikes cheap (2 bikes I was watching out of interest), started build threads with them claiming to be thinking of how to build the frame up (parts were already on ebay at this time for more than the whole bike cost) and then less than 2 weeks later the frame itself was then on ebay as 3x the sale price of the whole bike. I just ignored this user after that.

I would imagine that this user will have to be careful now as I read that HMRC was actively looking for people like this on eBay, so I doubt this will continue much longer.

Think I remember that and thought the same.

I've had to move things on quite quickly before after planning on keeping them (the P7 I got a while back springs to mind) but it's always because I shouldn't have got it in the first place due to lack of funds and then another bill comes in.
