I picked up some forks on a whim today, they are straight blade Spinner forks thought to be Project 2 little stickers removed, and butted was mentioned but figured they would be nice for a project either way...
At 935g I'm thinking not triple butted...
...butted at all? Straight gauge?

They are 1991 and cromo stamped and D-1 stamped. With Spinner sculpted looking drop outs.

Re:

They are not Project 2's.
They are chrome/nickel plated under the black paint.
Nice long steerer though :)

Well now I am confused! Yes the black paint is quite speckled like the underneath is some strange metal. The inner crown has been rubbed off to shiny/ slight marking by a wide tyre /mud

Ok so the question is, whatever they are, they are good yeah?

Wasn't me, but I saw them!

Do you think they are plated or is it just where the metals been polished by the tyre?
Most of the fork legs had the corroded / pitted finish that plating gets, rather than painted or bare metal.

I really don't know. I'm fairly sure they are Kona P2's after reading about similar era P2's but the finish is a strange one, and noticed the 180mm steerer. Wow in old threaded steerers that's long! Need a long frame, or to sell them again... Will see...
