Re-built Kona, only original parts are the rear mech, brakes and the seatpost q/r. 17" frame, re-built and sprayed bombers.

After 2001, kona colour schemes did get a bit gash. Saying that I do like some of the new 2009 stuff, looks much better in the metal, but the good years were pre 2001.

Very nice indeed, every time i think, 'mmm might try something different'
Another stonking kona comes along!

Love it!

Will a pahoehoe frame take a rear disk :?:
and whats the max travel fork you can use on it :?:
also what does it weigh :?:

sorry for all the questions lol

Yes it does have a disc mount.
It's made of Easton Ultralite so the frame is light, 3.5lbs +/-
It has a 80mm fork at the moment which gives it a 71 h/a and 74 s/a, I should think it would take a 100mm fork no problem (look at the scandium explosif of mikefoster, same year frame )

Nice bike , never seen one later than 2000.

I have the 2000 model in silver with ultralite tubing also, Its such a nice ride. I will put some pictures of it up at the the weekend. Mine has also been vastly upgraded mostly XTR and with recent hope M4 discs

Cheers

Just snapped the forks in half, so have put a 2001 pair of coil Z3s on it. I think I will be getting a pair of Salsa cromoto forks and putting flat bars on it.
