I give up! Whilst I except it may take a while for some gunmetal grey ones to appear somewhere I have just spent a couple of hours looking for some brand new Tripple Butted P2's and no shop in the land would seem to have any. Some shops have even said that they dont think Palligap will bring anymore in. Does anyone know of any local bike shop that may have a pair hiding in the back or where I can get some. Thanks again,
Trevor.

I am having the same trouble as you, been looking for one since January, as for gunmetal I dont think you will find them anymore as the latest P2's is in black colour, you best chance is here on the 'wanted' section or ebay, if you find one with the correct steerer length for your bike and if it's black or tatty, best bet to buy it and then respray it to gunmetal colour and get decals from gil_m. Hope this helps.

I've had much the same day as you, Thorpie. There doesn't seem to be a single triple-butted P2 in the UK that's got a long enough steerer for my Kilauea. I was going to get mine powdercoated in the gunmetal colour once I'd found one but it doesn't look like I'll be finding one soon.

That will be you who had always just phoned before me then! I almost did find some but the guy rung back and said they were to be returned under warranty.....what about some cromo PACE forks, what would they look like?

I may have a tripple butted P2 fork, new but slightly shop soiled. Will update when I get it, unfortunately it was the last one they had. Trevor.

P2's

I had this problem a while back. I phoned loads of shops to see if I could track down an odd pair. No luck. There must be very little call for non suspension adjusted P2's in triple butted format.

I was told I could put them on order and they may come in about Mid July when the next big order came. Although I had my reservations about receiving the right model, there have been so many variants.

It did cross my mind that if enough people placed orders. Kona may see a market and produce a run of old geometry forks.

Might not be what you are looking for, but have the P2 from my '94 Explosif - not sure what the spec is, but presumably the same as a Kilauea from the same year. Has just been refinished in black and looks like new, but would require stripping again to be made authentic.

Would be available in the summer once I have saved up to complete the new build with a carbon fork (not retro, but hey!).

Anyone wants first dibs, give me a shout.
