Kona P2 fork 1 1/8" ahead - looooong steerer

Hey fellas,

I do need some help here. Had a crash with my Explosif - now it looks like this.
Thanks God the frame is alright. And I am, too.

So I need a new fork. 410mm height. The problem is the 210 mm steerer.

Does anyone know where to get new ones in Europe? I found them at bikeman.com, but they would be around 130 € incl. shipping and customs. A used one will do as well.

i have a single butted P2 freshly powder coated black with vvvvery long steerer but i'd need something to fit my Marin Eldridge as a swap/p-ex..

In exchange for my fork I would need either a light fork with 1 1/8" x 200mm steerer, 410mm a-c or a good offer by PM!

Did exactly the same thing to my project 2 forks, on my 98 caldera (spectacular crash!). Your photo made me chuckle, i've got an almost identical photo myself. For me this event occured back in 2003, had a real arse of a job trying to track down another pair (plus i wanted them in grey also (same as previous)) so i decided instead to upgrade to suspension forks. I'm sure you've already solved this problem, but recently i was in Evans cycles in Hendon and i made some enquiries about the availability of a new pair of P2's, not a problem they said, brand new for around £60 ish.......p.s Just realised your not local so maybe it's of no help.......

Mudcow, sure there are new P2's available. But they are 440 mm and ... ugly.

wow, your bent forks look scary! did the downtube survive unscathed?

I just picked up a long steerer'd TB P2 after searching for a year, had to pay top dollar for them though!
i have another pair with approx 200mm I think?

Oh, please sell me your avid supremes! my bike (life) is not complete without them

It felt even more scary than it looks.

200 mm might be a tad too short. I'll have another check.

You can have the original levers, I anodized them as well. But now I have the L version.
I'm waiting for baj to reply, if negative, maybe we can have a swap?

I have the one TB pair at 200mm (will double check) and the other pair I picked up recently are 230mm but searched so long for these that we would have to get some hardcore negotiating going on...
