Well thats definitely put a smile on my face.(Even if I say so myself) my '96 Lava Dome, burnt orange is def in better condition with a few more bits on it so if he sells his for £150 would hope mine was worth as much if I ever decided to sell it.
I must say I like the 1995 colour, but there's no doubt that the 1996 burnt orange colour is many people's favourite and your bike is worth more than this one. And this itself seems very good value at £150, let alone 'or offer'. I would expect it to make £200 given the decent wheels, Flite etc.
The highest price I've ever seen for a burnt orange Lava Dome was £413! It was an exceptional example though, with newish kit and lots of sensible upgrades (e.g., I seem to recall that it retained the P2s but had hand-built wheels etc).
I bought this. Still rueing the day I sold my mint 1995 Trek 930 - and it seemingly doesn't want to make a re-appearance on ebay - so this was the compromise. It certainly looked OK in the pictures - but you can never really tell when the seller doesn't 'supersize' them - but on arrival it was rather 'under-described' in several areas. Seller very kindly agreed to a reduction on the £125 paid but it needs an immediate respray to join up the dozens of chips and scrapes and hold the frame together. Maybe I should go for the burnt orange?!
