Had a bit of a go at the paintwork on the frame and its not come up too bad. Sure it has quite a few scratches and chips,but it's going to get ridden.
Unfortunately,the forks has a big scuff down to bare metal so i will repaint the fork before it goes back on.
Also managed to get a dx chainset to replace the original 500lx after finding the non drive side to have hardly any threads left to remove it....

Anyway,here's some progress

That looks great

I would sack off the BS Standard sticker (the silver one), as it’s not a factory decal and I think Kona’s look better without it.

That does indeed look great. Original paint with a few wee scratches and chips is the way to go : )

Gave the forks a quick lick of paint to tidy up the marks that was on them and now back on....think they look ok

slowly starting to get it back together as and when time allows...so hopefully not long before i can get on it and see how it rides!
