Kona Kilauea seat post clamp

Hi,

Can someone please help? I want to replace the fugly QR currently on my 94 Kilauea with a non QR clamp. Can you please let me know the size I need?

I've tried searching the site and sales brochures but no joy so far.

One I just ordered and fitted to my 94 Kilauea (see link in sig) was a 30.0mm Hope one.

the original would have been 29.8 but 30.0 will fit just dandy.


have a look at salsa lip locks , beautiful bit of bike jewellery so they are

If it had the original paint, which is quite thin, I would certainly have thought 29.8 would be better. Mine was powder coated, which was done thinly for PC but still thicker than paint, so 30.0 worked perfectly.

Thank you...I'll opt for the 30mm as suggested.

I was looking to get something plain but now bling has been put in front of me, I have no choice but to indulge...shiney!!

The rear brake cable routing thingy, is it the original or can you buy these new? It looks well cool.

It's a later Kona one, drilled out to accept an outer cable. I went for it as it looked a bit different from the original one. Lot of detail on this bike which most don't see!

I can recommend these in 29.8 flavour black or silver , Hope Q/R are not good in my experience I had one on the Gulf Kona but kept slipping, Thomson ones look much better, no need for a Q/R IMO
