Kona Kilauea 1996

Retro Newbie
Hi all,
After posting some images on here of my Kilauea in January, I have had a lad at work's mate asking what I would want should I decide to sell it.
As above, it is a 1996 Kilauea with Manitou forks, full XT groupset / brakes along with a race light post and the original Mavic 221 wheels.
It's still in really good condition with only scratches etc to be expected of its age. No dings or dents
I have seen a huge variation in prices on Ebay, so over to you retro experts, what would be a reasonable figure to aim for?
Cheers in advance

Re:

Hi, thanks for the advice. Greatly appreciated.
Do you mean to aim for between £225 and £290?
I think the guy was looking at around £100 so if I can get something decent I would rather sell it here or on eBay to someone who may appreciate the frame / bike and enjoy the ride.
Any advice on the better location to sell or how to sell eg: set a reserve price?

Thanks again

One of these has just gone on Ebay for just over £150 and it needed quite a bit doing to it. Yours looks like it's in really good condition with some nice parts so if I was you I'd be looking to get around £275 for it. Your best bet is to cast a wide net so advertise on here, locally and on Ebay. You could put it on a BIN or run an auction. If you run an auction make sure you offer postage and end it on a Sunday evening as that's when the best prices are achieved.
