I think it's a 1995.i'm sure someone can put me right..
Just picked up for me by a friend,will be dropping it to me at the weekend..
He seems to want to keep it though lol..
Very happy ..


I will be going through it to see what it needs,want it as a daily user..
I know the seat needs sorting.Will be looking for lot's of advice,hope your ready for the endless stupid questions :D

No no no, there are far more clued up folks than I: Canuck, Anthony, Rojo, Raiden and many many others.
 
Here some more pics ...the fram tepers in both side near rear tyre?i assume that normal for frame to tyre clearance..any comments /suggestions welcome..


Looking to change the forks to project 2's at some point.....if i can get some cheap enough..
 
Nice bike. That's a fairly modern Deore rear mech. Decent enough kit, but wrong if you're an originality weeny.

Anyone know if those thumbies are original? I could be wrong (probably am) but 94 seems a.bit late to have them.

The thumbies are catalogue spec for a 94, Kona held out a bit longer than others.
 
yeah, those Suntour XC shifters were sweet, would work for either 7 or 8 speed, and had a phantom click in case you ran a 9 speed road build-up in the back
