Wanted Kona impact headset 1 1/8th

Just got hold of a set of Futureshock forks but they're a 1 1/8th steerer as opposed to the 1" steerer of the Project Two's they're replacing on my 91 Explosif.

Anybody have a 1 1/8th Impact Headset? Trying to keep things as original as possible.

won't the head tube on the 1991 Explosive be a 1 inch head tube? My 1992 Kona Cinder Cone is 1 1/8".

This confused me too in your other thread. Unless they used a very strange headset to shrink things down from 1 1/8 (the frame headtube) to accept a 1 inch fork, I don't think your frame will take an 1 1/8 headset?

91 Explosif definitely takes a 1 1/8” headset

Yes turns out I was wrong on my details. My headset is 1 1/8 and the Futureshock I have are 1 1/4 for some reason. Thanks again all for getting e on the right path. It looks like what I need to try and do is find a frame builder to swap out the 1 1/4 steerer tube for a 1 1/8.
