Kona Humuhumu Nukunuku A Pua deluxe 2005

Hi folks.
Thought I would share my Humu build. It's an ongoing process. It's been a fun trail bike for sure after getting rid of the heavy cruiser parts. Some may say "lipstick on a pig" but I don't care. XTR brakes/SRAM drivetrain, 27.5 carbon wheels and other modern gear may not be to everyone liking but again - this bike rips impressively well for what it is. My other bikes are Ibis Ripmo and Giant Trance E+1, and the Humu doesn't feel antiquated at all

Latest iteration is a RS Pike converted from tapered to 1 1/8 and set at 120 mm travel. Certainly suits the bike with some proper suspension. The Suntour XC wasn't bad, but with 100 kg rider and pumping through the berms the Pike makes everything more compliant and stable.

No way that's lipstick on a pig, Humus are highly desired. Fantastic bikes suitable for almost any purpose. I've been hunting for the right one for years
