kona found in a skip!

took the rubbish out this morning into the communal bin area, and out of the 6 wheelie bins, the one i opened to chuck the bags in i found this little beauty staring up at me, like a discarded toy

was purchased/serviced at alpine bikes holburn street aberdeen.
not sure what to do with it really, maybe throw some bits on it and use it as my new pub bike!

Poor thing. Thrown away like that, probably because the owner bought something new or didn't find it pretty enough anymore ...

the forks are seized solid and are staying that way, just need to find an old front wheel seat and post.

its funny really because only the other day i decided to strip and sell my xtr clad aa, then days later another retro kona pops up. fate aye! tsk

they also do a set for 22.50 all be it with a screw on freehub, but for that sort of cash whadda expect.

i'd be tempted to strip it bare & see how it cleans up... it might be far better than you need as a pub bike!

Just found similar wheels to my ebay find at crc for £20 a pair. silver rims this time.
